This Collection of Ten Interdisciplinary Essays Provides Detailed, Small-Scale studies of a variety of medieval female communities from Germany to Wales between 1200 and 1500. The essays examine a range of social, economic, and cultural female groups, both religious and secular. The contributors consider women`s historical experience to be distinct from that of men, but do not restrict themselves to a single theoretical perspective or methodological approach.
